Here, many people live in a religious, family-oriented way that eschews mainstream culture. The entire landscape, with its rolling hills covered in crops and grasses, farms with windmills, and horse and buggies sharing the road, denotes a different way of life.

The town of Strasburg in Lancaster County is home to an array of train-related activities. The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania has over 100 locomotives and cars dating from the mid-19th to 20th centuries, many of which have been restored. The museum also includes the Stewart Junction railway education center, which has entertaining and educational hands-on activities. Go smaller, and see an extensive collection of toy trains and accessories with some antique pieces dating back to the mid-1800s at the National Toy Train Museum.

The Sight and Sound Theatres is also located in Strasburg. With 2000 seats and a 300 foot wrap-around stage, this is the nation's largest Christian theater. The company was founded in 1976, and past productions include Noah the Musical, Miracle of Christmas and Joseph.
