At The Emig Mansion Bed and Breakfast, our guests find themselves transported back in time to a charming Victorian era. The home is resplendent with exquisite leaded and stained glass windows, intricate moldings, original parquet floors and elegant marble and tile work. Exploring is encouraged!
Built in 1850, The Emig Mansion is decorated with antiques and furnishings authentic to the period. It is the ideal location for weddings, receptions, private parties, bridal and baby showers, birthday parties, Tea parties, family reunions, seminars, and meetings. The event rental space includes the entire first floor of the Mansion and will comfortably accommodate up to 50 guests. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, we have the local NCR hiking trail which spans 40 miles beginning in Hunt Valley MD and ending in York PA. we have State Parks and many lakes for kayaking, fishing and hiking. Two great nearby mountain zoos are Lake Tobias and the Catoctin Mountain Zoo. In the winter months you can bring family and friends for fun on the slopes at Ski Roundtop and Ski Liberty.
For those who prefer indoor events or when the weather is messy, a tour of the Harley Davidson Factory is an absolute must! Our area also boasts the National Watch and Clock Museum and located in York itself is the famous workshop of Bluett Brothers Violins. York is also a melting pot of some of the best restaurants and cuisine around! There is always something interesting and fun happening at either the York Expo Center or the Appell Center for the Arts.
